Chamber Chat with Liz Cameron, Chief Executive of Scottish Chambers of Commerce

With businesses across mainland Scotland now plunged into another hugely damaging lockdown it is absolutely critical that the Scottish Government takes all the steps necessary through speedy vaccine roll out and improved test and trace capacity to make it as short as possible, whilst providing a clear timetable for the ending of restrictions and the return to normal trading.    We also urgently need the Scottish Government and the UK Treasury to produce a long-term business support framework and strategy to replace their current ad-hoc and short-term financial interventions, so that businesses can not just survive but plan and prepare for recovery with confidence.  

Liz and her team at the Scottish Chambers of Commerce represent the interests of Scotland’s 30 chambers of commerce, and their 11000 members, at the very highest level of government.  This event will allow you to learn how and what SCC is advocating on your behalf and, critically, allow you to share your ‘on-the-ground’ and ‘real world’ experiences and challenges with her, so she can shape powerful messages that our politicians cannot ignore.
